![]() Yvonne de Mille was born in the UK and has made New Zealand her home since 1974. During that time she has owned a number of businesses, learned the skills of kite making, trained as a Facilitator and Life Coach and more recently turned her skills to painting. Since 1996 Yvonne has been helping others with their Business and Personal Development. She has written and delivered training material on various topics including training for other Life Coaches. She has a compassionate interest in how people learn, and an understanding of the challenges experienced by those who have been let down by traditional educational approaches. Yvonne has a certificate in the Art of Health from Taruna College – (Rudolph Steiner Education) has trained in Interactive Drawing Therapy and as a facilitator for Leadership Management International and the Virtues Project, finding this work increasingly more fulfilling she incorporates some of these strategies into her other work. As a kite maker Yvonne uses brightly coloured sail fabrics and hand dyed silk to make banners, pennants and original kites, some more than 3 metres in diameter. Recognised internationally for her kite making skills she has received sponsored invitations to display her flying art at Kite Festivals around the World. As a painter Yvonne uses mostly acrylics and water colours, she is influenced by nature and the cultural motifs of New Zealand and the Pacific. Other inspiration just arrives unannounced, the Virtues Project is a more recent influence in her work. |
